Marquez has had its ups and downs. And let's be real during the pandemic the struggle has been real. Wifey and I just love their menudo and we go about every 6-8 weeks as our routine for years now. Honestly can say we are back as faithful clients. Tasty with enough spice and meaty portions and the option to have pasta. Yum yum. The place has been remodeled a bit which is a bit more inviting. Now the service. Good to see Miguel still waiting tables it's familial. But they can be overwhelmed at medium capacity. Sunday at 10am with only two servers, we didn't get out until 11:30. According to my wife I eat fast so she t wasn't me. I can be patient because we appreciate Marquez but it will be a bit slow experience so be prepared.

Came here yesterday and had great service. The food was delicious! The carnitas wet burrito had plenty of salsa and wasn't dry at all. The shrimp cocktail tasted fresh. Love the fact that they have the glass bottles of Coca-Cola. The place was clean and they had live sports playing on the televisions. We will be back!

Returned to El Marquez after a long hiatus. Now with change back in ownership thought to give it a try. So nice to see some of the original staff (40+ years). The food remains true to form but unfortunately the rice and beans were on the cold side. The restaurant is welcoming and staff friendly. Nice memories of past surround you in the restaurant with the hopes of a good future for Marquez.

I been going to Marquez for over 8 yrs Me and my family love the food services is the best Cynthia and Melanie are the new waitress and they are so helpful Place is very clean ! Never had a complaint about that

Had a party of 14 come in for my son's birthday, we made it at 4pm on Sunday which was perfect because it was after the lunch crowd and they were able to put tables together to accommodate us. They even have a private room for parties and patio seating but there was already a large party there. Staff was attentive and food was excellent. Chicken mole was outstanding. Also tried the pozole, one of the best I've had. They give you chips and salsa, so addicting. My late husband's family has been coming here for decades but we haven't been here in over ten years since we moved. Glad to see that the food is just as good now, even though it's more expensive but I guess that's to be expected nowadays. I would come here just for the homemade tortillas and can't beat their guacamole! The menu says "market price" and I forgot to check my receipt but whatever it costs, it's worth it!
